Dr. Armen Papazian, Tuesday, 2-4-25 (10.88MB; download) -- Dr. Armen Papazian joined us again, this time to discuss his new book, "Financing The Race To Space: How to value, invest and Explore the Universe." Armen makes the case that our monetary and financial systems are not capable to truly take us into space to settle, live, work and stay there in a sustainable manner. He goes after the traditional concept of the time value of money and suggests new ways for determining money, the space value of money. Hint: He draws upon different orbital periods for different planets and celestial bodies He calls for a reworking of financial mat, monetary architecture, and moving past financial value to space value. His examples included SpaceX and Mr. Musk but also others suggesting that traditional economics won't get the job done other than with the usual footsteps and flag types of missions. Armen does want your feedback so do share it with him on our blog. Read the full program summary when it becomes available on our website, www.thespaceshow.com for this date, Feb. 4, 2025.
