Add this to another station Podcast: Anatomy of a CNN Interview (6.69MB; download) -- Late last night I finished editing a podcast called Anatomy of a CNN Interview. It's about my adventure on Wednesday going into Boston to do an interview with CNN. A CNN producer had called me earlier in the day wanting to talk to me about the digital divide implications of the new Mac Mini computer, Apple's first low-cost computer. I didn't expect to do an actual interview with them because they were hoping to do it in New York, so I went into a meeting for a couple of hours. Coming out of the meeting I found a message from the producer asking me if I could be at a TV studio at 1:15pm; it was now almost 2pm. Frantically I called her up and asked if we could still do it; she said they'd rescheduled the studio time to 2:45pm. This gave me less than 45 minutes to get to Boston from suburban Newton -- on public transportation, no less. Since I had my iPod with me, I decided to make an audio diary about the experience, from the painfully slow commuter train, to getting lost in downtown, to the interview itself. The podcast is a bit of a departure from my previous Internet radio programs in that it's a bit tongue-and-cheek, and it incorporates a lot of music remixes I made, courtesy of the Creative Commons/Wired Magazine music CD. All of the songs on the CD can be re-used for sampling purposes, so I took full advantage of it. Anyway, hope you enjoy the new podcast.... -andy

Add this to another station Welcome to my kitchen! (3.67MB; download) -- My name is Jeff Nemcher, and I will be your host here at Cooking on the Radio. I believe that life is too short to eat bad food, and my philosophy on cooking is that everyone has the potential to be an outstanding cook. All it takes is a good attitude, a little time, and some creativity and viola, you can create culinary masterpieces that have your friends and family talking about you and your cooking prowess long after the dinner party is over. If you are anything like me and you enjoy eating than grab your apron and get ready to crush your favorite restaurants. I look forward to sharing my love for cooking and eating with you while having fun, and if you are currently culinarily challenged, fear not for many of the early works of such masters as Vincent van Gogh and M.C. Esher pale in comparison to the amazing works they produced in their prime. Let me help you get in to yours as quickly as possible with out spending a fortune or taking a trip to France (not that you wouldn't enjoy it). Please feel free to e-mail me at: jeff@cookingontheradio.com with your questions or comments. Bon appetit, Jeff
