Episode 141

Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires. Song of Solomon 2:7

The beauty, the fulfillment of emotional and physical love when expressed within the bounds of a blessed relationship, one that has been brought together by God, is a precious gift. Perhaps that is why the Lord pictures the church as his bride. He loves us, cares for us and never forsakes us.

Episode 140

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
Song of Solomon 2:4

It was for love that the Lord went forth in battle against the enemy of our souls. It was for love that we were redeemed from the certainly of death and destruction. It was for love that God sent forth his only son on our behalf. It was all for love.

Episode 139
All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of his creation, the object of God's providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man. Ecclesiastes 12:13 (Amplified Bible)

We have a purpose and that purpose has been given to us by God. No matter how much we do. No matter how much prestige and money we earn, if we fail to discover our purpose true happiness will always elude us.

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

Dr. Martin Luther King's role in history was far beyond anything he had ever imagined. Dr. King met the destiny God had planned all along. He went step by step following the lead of the one true God just as we must do in our own lives(Image courtesy of free stock photo).

Episode 137

If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone? Ecclesiastes 4:10-11

We were not meant to be alone. God has created within each of us a need to connect with others, family, spouse, friends the nature of the relationships may vary but the necessity of the relationship is there.

Episode 136

A good name is better than fine perfume? Ecclesiastes 7:1a

Having a name that is respected, having a reputation that examptory is worth far more than fine perfume. It is through our lives that people will be drawn to the true and living Savior. It is when they see our faith in action that others will want to know more about the God we serve.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

The Lord is going to do a new thing. God will make streams, in places where it seems impossible. He will bring a new time for us. The pain of the past must remain in the past. We will move forward into a future that the Lord himself has prepared.

?For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.? Luke 2:11

Some can?t believe it. Why would anyone love someone that much. Why would anyone give their own life. It just doesn?t make sense. At Christmas we celebrate the beautiful story of the Christ child, a story too precious to ignore and too wonderful to deny.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Time is both finite and infinite. Our time here comes and goes but with God time has neither beginning nor end.

Oh, son of mine, what can you be thinking of! Child whom I bore! The son I dedicated to God! Don't dissipate your virility on fortune-hunting women, promiscuous women who shipwreck leaders.
Proverbs 31:2-4 The Message Bible

Listen to the words of the scripture and listen to the small still voice in your own heart.
A life of work, a family that has been faithful to you, will you shipwreck it all for a few moment of pleasure with a stranger? Be faithful to your spouse and to your marriage.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.?
Proverbs 29:18

Vision is certainly about seeing but also about hearing the voice of God. Vision is about trusting
God?s wisdom and the reality he has revealed in our hearts above the natural facts that
confront us.
