Add this to another station KFC Protest in Santa Cruz 2-12-05 (17.65MB; download) -- About two dozen people gathered on Saturday 2-12-05 at the KFC on Mission St. in Santa Cruz to protest KFC's continued failure to put a stop to abuses against chickens taking place in the factories and slaughterhouses that provide chicken to KFC. Chickens are routinely scalded alive, beaten and kicked. In addition, the chickens are kept in crowded filthy conditions and pumped full of hormones which frequently results in their inability to stand up or flap their wings. The protests take place at the Mission St. KFC on the first Saturday of every month and are organized by The Progressive Animal Rights Alliance in conjunction with PETA.
